Hoʻohieokalā is a freelance photographer, production assistant, and aspiring film director based out of New York, NY. As a rising senior at Columbia University, she is double-majoring in Film and Media Studies and Drama and Theatre Arts. At the institution, she serves as the President of Mālama Hawaiʻi.
Originally from Maui, HI, she strives for authentic Native Hawaiian and Pacific Islander representation; her creative endeavors fueled by a kūleana (responsibility) and pilina (connection) to her community.
